CCIP retires the next months, and becomes CCNP SP

Good news (hopefully) to all Cisco folks by the announcement that the CCIP certification will be retired and Cisco will no longer issue new CCIP certifications beginning October 29, 2012.

However according to Cisco all of them who are in the process of getting the CCIP or the one who already are CCIP’s there is a migration possibility to the CCNP Service Provider certifications. The link below shows what exams you need to pass to get the NP Service Provider.

I’m still confused, and my question is “What next?”.. Well, since the SP track exams are based on IOS XR I think the best way for myself would be going with the CCNP Switch & T-shoot to complete the CCNP track, and then God knows if I’ll hit the CCNP SP or continue with the CCIE R&S journey.
